“Lúthien” by Alan Lee.

I once saw Alan Lee at a book signing and asked him to draw whatever he liked best in The Silmarillion.

So he drew me a sketch of Lúthien.

Oh, that’s pretty neat! You’re lucky — Alan Lee is one of the best modern professional illustrators, in my opinion, and I would have loved to meet him. If you happen to still have that sketch, I’d love to see it sometime!
