I think I’ve pretty much decided to pursue a linguistics major, with a minor in either history or anthropology. I find it interesting and fun (except morphology because it seems to hate me) and though my mother will probably dislike this decision, it is mine and mine alone. HA.

Speaking of linguistics, we watched an (older) video in class this morning about the evolution of the English language, and I had to roll my eyes when the narrator offhandedly implied that the Romance languages are superior to the Germanic and Celtic languages. Bah! If you have read one of my previous posts, you will know this is a significant peeve of mine. Silly narrator. Other than that, the film was pretty informative.

I’ve also discovered that I cannot drink coffee with my new medication, or at least caffeinated coffee. Had a panic attack in the middle of class this morning that lasted for about half an hour, and I’m pretty sure it was at least partially triggered by the excessive amount of caffeine since I haven’t had reactions to green tea.
